I play on the Mountain States Renegades AA and two A Bantam teams. I have played hockey since second year mite (6 years) and have a save percentage of 92.1%. I hope to try out for the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA team this July.

We got third in State

We got third in State. We played Arvada and lost 3-2. I was so sad. Oh well. We still got third in state and we still beat the best team in our league and we still beat the team that won state, Littleton, in a Presidents Day Tournament 2-1. Oh well. It was still fun to play in!

That is great, you should try out for the Tbirds. You can't make it if you don't try out right? I am decent, better then some and not as good as others LOL. I am going to be playing for Chicago Mission next season, they are the 2nd ranked team in the country. I want to go to the National Championships and try to win it.

Wow, small world! Yep, I did play in that tournament, we won it. I just got home from the Rocky Mountain District camp, looks like I am going to the National camp in July.

Game On!

As some people might know, I was injured last season, so I did not play at all last year. Today, I just started goalie trainning for the first time in months. It was AWESOME! I had a new chest protector (Vaughn Epic 8800), new pants (Brians Dx2 Pro), and a new mask (Hackva). It was pretty ackward with the new equipment, but I managed to do pretty well.

Off Season (dryland) training versus just playing a Summer sport

I'd like to get some feedback and thoughts on the topic of off-season training versus just playing a Summer sport or combining both. Also thoughts on how much ice outside of a goaltending camp, if any, considered to be sufficient to maintain skills.

has anyone else heard about this? this rule is currently being sent to the NHL borad. what does everyone think about reduced goalie equipment?
